Do You Trust the Government to Wisely Spend $40 Million of Your Money?

Please find attached a soft copy of the presentation I walked through on Thursday, September 27, at the Patriot Chat.

Thank you again for everyone’s time and patience as I took you through a lot of information. As I mentioned on Thursday night, my ‘presentation’ was an initial walkthrough of this material in preparation for a town hall we will be having on October 24 (specific time and location TBD).

Please note - as Holly Jennings (Sheridan County Commission) and Andy Patceg (Sheridan City Council) clarified at the end of Thursday night’s discussion, while the ballot measure is requesting authorization to tax and spend $40M, $12.48M would be authorized to be taxed and spent by ‘Sheridan County.’  The remaining $27.42M would be authorized to be taxed and spent by the cities of Sheridan, Ranchester, Dayton and Clearmont.

While this is an important distinction which Holly and Andy made, it does not change the underlying message about how your money is being spent by Sheridan County and the distinct choice in front of everyone on November 5th.

I will make sure the document I present on October 24th clarifies this distinction - I am very keen to make sure what is being presented is fair and accurate - I have nothing to gain by inaccurately presenting this information.
