What is a Caucus?

A caucus is a meeting of members of a political group to decide policy and to elect delegates. Every two years, the county Republican parties hold caucuses to elect Delegates to the County Convention.
All currently registered Republicans are Members of the caucus. If you've never been involved in politics, this is your opportunity to do so in an relatively easy manner!
What will happen at the Caucus?
All attendees will check-in to confirm they are currently registered Republicans and to determine in which Precinct they reside.
The attendees will meet by Precinct.
Each Precinct is responsible for:
Electing a Caucus Chair for their Precinct
Electing Delegates and Alternates from their Precinct to the County Convention
Reporting to the Caucus Chair who they've elected
There are three committees for the County Convention:
Platform
Resolutions
Bylaws
If you are interested in participating on one of those committees, you will have the opportunity to sign up at the Caucus. Each committee will have a Chair and shall make a report to the County Convention.
That's pretty much it in a nutshell. Remember, if you want to be a Delegate to the County Convention or the Republican State Convention, or the Republican National Convention, you must begin the process at the County Caucus.
