Doubling down on the lies, Terry Weitzel managed to get a letter published in the 17 August Sheridan Press, again claiming that the Sheridan County Republican Party mailed out a postcard promoting "Freedom Caucus Republican Party Precinct Committeeman/Committeewoman candidates." Please, someone arrange an intervention for Mr. Weitzel! This card came from the Wyoming IS Right PAC , a legitimate PAC, registered with the state, that has been in existence for three years or more.
He then goes on to talk about integrity and honor. Priceless.
After lying once again about the Party, he then trashes the people who are involved with the Party, claiming they don't serve in the community. Really, Mr. Weitzel?
Here's a comment we lifted from David Iverson's Facebook page:
"Why does a Sheridan City Councilman, Terry Weitzel, think it is okay to say that a 27-year veteran of the Navy knows nothing about leadership? When Master Chief Jim Sturdevant was inland for 2 years and then was on a Navy destroyer in Vietnam where were you Terry? When Jim Sturdevant was helping so many Sheridan veterans that we can't count what were you doing, Terry?
"And you wrote it in a letter to the paper. Wow. Tells us a lot about you Terry."
The Sheridan County Republican Party is comprised of people from all walks of life. It is not a paying position, unlike City Council, everyone is a volunteer. It comes with no perks and the individuals have to pay out of their own pockets to participate in conventions and other party events. In other words, it is a commitment to the community without benefits. But Mr. Weitzel is okay trashing all of these plain folks because he is so much better than they are. He doesn't care that people are involved in 4H, their church, a club to which he doesn't belong, their family, their business, or busy with their cows, hay, and horses. Mr. Weitzel is better than those people. He goes to meetings! He's on the City Council, don't you know? He's important! And you are not.
The Great Terry Weitzel is trying to sell you a bunch of bull. What does that say about the people who already fell for his sales pitch? His "supporters." Are these the people in the community who also think they are better than you? Do you suppose they get together for cocktail parties and pat each other on the back for how much they do for Sheridan? Or did some of the folks on this list fall for the weaselly sales pitch of lies?
Mr. Weitzel ends his article with the comment: "Please stop trying to take down our community. It's a great place to live and deserves much better." Which begs the question, who exactly is trying to take down the community? It's Mr. Weitzel who has arranged a hit piece on the County Republican Party and members of the community. It's Mr. Weitzel who is lying. It's Mr. Weitzel who is trying to destroy the Republican Party and rebuild it as a tool that answers to him and the people below who donated to his cause.
Respect is earned. Lying is not an act of honor and integrity. The people named on the list below made a choice to back someone with no honor and integrity. Shame on them.
I just called it the 'liar flier'😀 it perfectly fits. Too bad there are a multitude of uninformed voters in Sheridan County and Wyoming. Name recognition is a real thing around here.
I did NOT authorize the Committee for Better Sheridan County Leadership ("Committee") to use my name. I am NOT associated with the Committee, and would NOT have authorized my name to be used by the Committee, and I definitely would not have allowed the Committee to use my name in association with a negative political mailer. Additionally, I am not associated with any Caucus.
As one of my constitutes stated, after I explained the situation: Then you are somewhere between the hind leg of a dog and a fire hydrant.
I find it most interesting that the candidates who helped pay for this mailer didn't even put their names on the mailer sent to my constituents. There was plenty o…
