Doors open at 9:00 AM for registration. Any and all registered Republican voters in Sheridan County as of January 23, 2024 are encouraged to participate in these Precinct Caucus meetings!

When: February 3, 2024 at (Check-in)

Where: Kalif Shrine Center, 145 W. Loucks, Sheridan WY

Check-in: 9:00 AM

Start: 10:00 AM

We encourage that you come early for "check-in", since each participant needs to have their political affiliation and precinct verified before participating in their Republican Precinct Caucus.

What are Precinct Caucuses?

We will meet as one body when the Party Chairman convenes the meeting, and then divide into groups based on our respective precincts. There are 29 different precincts in Sheridan County.

During check-in, you will be notified of your precinct number. A chair from within each Precinct will be elected to run the Precinct Caucus meeting (Precinct Caucus chairs are to be elected from the Precinct Committee members per the Party Bylaws)

Each Precinct Caucus will then discuss proposed changes/edits/additions to the Party bylaws, resolutions, and platform (County & State). These updates will be taken to the County Convention for deliberation and to be voted on. The precincts will also elect their delegates & alternates to the County Convention.

To find our County Party bylaws, resolutions, and platform, check out our Sheridan County Party website: Governing Documents.

Additional documents:

You can find your State Party bylaws, resolutions, and platform on the State Party website: Governing Documents. Click on the links below the red links & blue banner and look for the following: WRP Platform, 2022 SCC By Laws, 2023 SCC Resolutions... etc.

Take a moment to think about proposed changes/edits/additions to these documents prior to the Precinct Caucuses and bring those thoughts to the meeting for discussion.

Why participate in your precinct caucus?

This is YOUR Republican Party. Our success is based on the grassroots' participation - everything that happens in the Republican Party is a bottom-up approach. From the Precincts, to the County Party, to the State Party, to the RNC - it all starts with you. The work we do during these Precinct Caucus meetings can make it all the way up to the Republican National Committee - setting the tone for National Republican Party activities.

It's a long-standing system that gives everyday people the power to influence the structure of their own political party, take advantage of this opportunity for your precinct, county, state and nation.

We sincerely hope you choose to participate. It only works if you do.

As always, feel free to reach out if you have any questions. We are looking forward to seeing you at these important Precinct Caucus meetings.
