County GOP Accepting Applications for County Commissioner
The Sheridan County Republican Party is now accepting applications for registered Sheridan County Republicans who wish to serve as a Sheridan County Commissioner, fulfilling the remainder of Commissioner Allen Thompson’s term. Commissioner Thompson is expected to resign and vacate his office effective July 31, 2023.
To apply, interested parties must send a one-page letter of intent and a resume up to two pages to Sheridan County Republican Party Chairman Bryan Miller, either in person or by mail to: 2071 Featherbed Lane, Sheridan, WY 82801. A maximum of three pages of documentation will be accepted, no more. Applications may be submitted until 5:00 PM on July 28, 2023.
The Sheridan County Republican Party Central Committee plans to meet on August 5, 2023, to interview all candidates. At that meeting, candidates will introduce themselves and answer questions. The Central Committee members will then select three candidates to present to the Sheridan County Commissioners who will select one of the three to fill out Commissioner Thompson’s term.
